World AIDS Day Patient Panel

November 29, 2017 at 12:00 pm

World AIDS Day takes place on the 1st December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day.

Join EVMS Alliance Club and the EVMS Internal Medicine Club for an HIV patient panel on Wednesday, November 29! There will be two HIV (+) patients, Dr. Derber (infectious disease), Dr. Kearney (Director at Virginia HIV/AIDS Resource and Consultation Center), and Irma Hinkle (Program Director at Access AIDS).

The panel has tons they wants to tell us as future physicians, and EVMS Internal Medicine Club and Alliance (with the help of the Office for Diversion and Inclusion, #shoutout) would never let you go hungry, so please do sign up for food so we can hear what they have to say and not your tummy rumbling. Please sign up below by 11/21, so we know how much food to get!
