Remembering Our Special Friends – Pet Memorial Service

October 6, 2019 at 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

From childhood throughout our lives, the close bonds we share with our animal friends and companions last a lifetime (theirs and ours) and more. On Sunday afternoon October 6 at 4pm we will come together – taking time to remember, give thanks for, and acknowledge the lasting impact these godsent blessings had in our own lives (during the times we shared with them and after their passing as well).

You are invited to be part of this special memorial service and to honor your beloved passed pet in several ways during the service:
– you may submit photos of your pet (with yourself and family too if you would like) to be included in a memorial video slide presentation;
– if you have cremains, space will be provided at the front of the sanctuary to place them there (with a small photo/memento as space allows);
– there will be a time during the memorial to call your pet’s name and light a candle to honor their memory.

It is our hope that this special memorial gathering will help and touch the places in our hearts we still mourn for and grieve our friends and allow us to celebrate/honor the places they still have in our hearts forever.

Photos to be included in the video slide presentation may be emailed to: revmarkbyrd@gmail.com (by October 1st please).

Help Us Continue Our Mission

For the past 5 years, Outwire757 has been the voice of the Hampton Roads LGBTQ community by reporting on the events, news, politics, arts, music, and culture that make our corner of the world an affirmative place to call home.

With our advertisers' support, we have been able to offer Outwire757.com and our sister publications, OutLife757 Magazine and OutGuide757, accessible and free of charge.

We are proud that you, our readers, have come to depend on us.

But now, in this challenging world, now we need your support to continue our work.

With a small contribution from you, OutWire757's publications will remain independent, local, and free. And we can continue to help strengthen our queer community.

We thank you for your support.
