The Your Story Project – An LGBTQ Memoir Workshop
March 27 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
While much progress has been made, many remember the always challenging, often dangerous atmosphere imposed by the intolerant and unsympathetic culture of the recent past.
In this cost-free creative writing workshop, we will collect your personal narratives in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment. Writing in response to prompts and supportive texts, you will craft short pieces of prose that will testify to the LGBTQ experience as it has evolved over time.
You will have the opportunity to publish your work on our blog, and to participate in a public reading to bear witness to this difficulty history.
No previous writing experience necessary!
SPACES ARE LIMITED: Please only RSVP if you can make all 7 weeks of the workshop. RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Corey Mohr at 757-640-0929, ext. 262.
Wednesdays, 10 am to noon.
February, 13, 20, 27, and March 6, 13, 20 and 27.
