Due to Virginia ABC policies, we have had to cancel our beach party. After a maddening circular conversation with the Virginia ABC Board today, we were informed that since we are a public ticketed event, we cannot sell alcohol–even through we had secured the services of a licensed off-premises caterer to manage the bar. And ABC had previously given that caterer permission to do so.
Coupled with the fact that First Landing State Park prohibits alcohol in public areas, we’ve decided that a beach party with no adult beverages is NO FUN!
All ticket purchases will be refunded in full in the next 24 hours. Check your email for notification.
