An alliance of national groups, including the Human Rights Campaign, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center filed a consumer fraud complaint against People Can Change (PCC), an organization based in Virginia offering a ‘cure’ to gay men via weekend-long ‘Manhood’ seminars with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
The lawsuit requests that the FTC take legal action against PCC’s claims and marketing practices in addition to opening investigations against other entities engaged in sexual orientation conversion therapy.
