ABC’s Dancing with the Star introduced same-sex dancing to its global audience for the first time on Monday night.
This week, the dance competition featured a special ‘Judges’ Team-Up Challenge’ segment where two celebrities and their dance partners were coached by one of the show’s judges.
Judge Bruno Tonioli, Italian choreographer and dancer, put together Team Bruno, picking top model Nyle DiMarco and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, along with ‘Full House’ actress, Jodie Sweetin and her partner Keo Motsepe, to perform a dramatic Argentine tango routine set to music from the opera classic, ‘Carmen.’
Viewers saw Murgatroyd and Sweetin hooked their arms around each other’s neck, with their faces only inches away as they locked in eye contact.
The ladies swirled around on the centerstage before parting to give the spotlight to DiMarco and Motsepe, who immediately held hands and put their arms on each other’s naked upper body.
At one point, Keo even lifted Nyle off the floor and the pair spun around on stage gracefully.
