The Virginia Department of Elections has released unofficial results from the 2016 elections, and they reflect what we already know: mostly urban areas in Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Hampton Roads trended blue. The rest of the Commonwealth went bright red.
As of this writing, 68% of Virginia’s registered voters cast just over 3.8 million votes. The final tally won’t be available until outstanding provisional ballots are counted and final results certified on November 21z
