Stepping Out Productions, the parent organization of the Hampton Roads Men’s Chorus,  has changed the group’s name to (and we like this) the First Colony Chorale…the Gay Men’s Chorus of Coastal Virginia.

Here’s a taste of their magical sound.

The HRMC was founded in 1997 as an an inclusive chorus accepting singers without regard to sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, or disability. The group fosters excellence in choral music, reflecting a breadth of life experience in song. We promote a regional community embracing the inherent equality, dignity and acceptance of all people.

They currently produce two major concerts a year in December and in the late spring as well as a One Night Only production that features a guest artist from our region or the national stage. Throughout the year a select ensemble from the chorus performs at a variety of church and community events.
