Tangerine is one of several LGBT-themed movies you'll find on Netflix this weekend.

Now that Memorial Day in the 757 has been washed out, I’m left with indoor activities. Let’s see what in the gay world is happening on Netflix, shall we? Turns out there’s much to be excited about if you’re up for binge watching some LGBT-themed films. Here’s a sampling of what’s on now:

Any Day Now (2012)
Inspired by a true story from the late 1970s and touching on legal and social issues that are as relevant today as they were 35 years ago, Any Day Now is a powerful tale of love, acceptance and family. When a teenager with Down syndrome is abandoned by his mother, a gay couple takes him in and becomes the loving family he’s never had. But when their unconventional living arrangement is discovered by authorities, the men are forced to fight a biased legal system to save the life of the child they have come to love as their own.

Boys (2014)
Jongens (Boys) is a 2014 coming of age drama film produced in the Netherlands and directed by Mischa Kamp. Featuring Gijs Blom, Ko Zandvliet and Stijn Taverne, the film follows a sexually awakening gay teen athlete who finds himself in a budding relationship with his mutually attracted relay race teammate.

Beginners (2010)
Beginners imaginatively explores the hilarity, confusion, and surprises of love through the evolving consciousness of Oliver. Oliver meets the irreverent and unpredictable Anna only months after his father Hal has passed away. This new love floods Oliver with memories of his father who — following 44 years of marriage — came out of the closet at age 75 to live a full, energized, and wonderfully tumultuous gay life. The upheavals of Hal’s new honesty, by turns funny and moving, brought father and son closer than they’d ever been able to be. Now Oliver endeavors to love Anna with all the bravery, humor, and hope that his father taught him.

Pariah (2011)
Alike is a 17-year-old African-American woman who lives with her parents and younger sister in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene neighborhood, and she is quietly but firmly embracing her identity as a lesbian. With the support of her best friend Laura, Alike is especially eager to find a girlfriend. Wondering how much she can confide in her family, she strives to get through adolescence with grace, humor, and tenacity — sometimes succeeding, sometimes not, but always moving forward.

Tangerine (2015)
It’s Christmas Eve in Tinseltown and Sin-Dee is back on the block. Upon hearing that her pimp boyfriend hasn’t been faithful during the 28 days she was locked up, the working girl and her best friend, Alexandra, embark on a mission to get to the bottom of the scandalous rumor. Their rip-roaring odyssey leads them through various subcultures of Los Angeles, including an Armenian family dealing with their own repercussions of infidelity.
