Transgender Day of Visibility – Hampton Roads
April 7 at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Doors open at 1:30!
Parking – The small church lot and use of the loading dock by the ramp will be designated only for guests with accessibility needs and for the temporary loading/unloading of art pieces and event materials. We ask that the general public uses the lot across the street from the church, on Fisherman’s Rd. The church door with the ramp will be the most immediate entrance. Signs will be posted for guidance.
Supported by Transgender Assistance Program – TAP Virginia, New Life Metropolitan Community Church of Hampton Roads, VA, LGBT Life Center, the LGBTQAI Interfaith Group of Hampton Roads, Unitarian Church of Norfolk (Coastal Virginia Unitarian Universalist Church), and the Seven Cities Medic Collective.
We are pleased to hold the first Hampton Roads Trans Day of Visibility, where all can come together and celebrate the abilities of our local trans and gender non-conforming artists and talent!
Want to perform? Submit your art? Volunteer?
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or message us on FB if you would like to volunteer or are a trans artist who would like to display your art, or if you are a trans performer who would like to sing, speak, dance, or present! Trans youth are welcome to participate as well, as this will be a family-oriented event.
Art and creativity are natural expressions of life. On TDOV, we seek to elevate and showcase the art and talents of the trans community, empowering and celebrating trans individuals, and spreading knowledge of trans issues to the public.
