As reported by the Washington Blade, DOJ Pride, an organization of LGBT Justice Department employees, recognized Gloucester teen Gavin Grimm for his “outstanding contributions to the LGBT community” during a ceremony in the building’s Great Hall yesterday, where DOJ department attorneys and employees lined up to hug him and offer congratulations and gratitude. Grimm was among several persons honored during the event and in an unusual move, the reporter from the Washington Blade was removed from the ceremony.
