Hampton Roads residents have been showing their Pride all month, but events kicked into high gear last week at the Chrysler Museum. Below is a gallery of photos from last night’s “Pride on the Peninsula” event.

This week has been VERY busy as excitement builds for tomorrow’s PrideFest Block Party and 30th Annual PrideFest in Norfolk’s Town Point Park. The weather is forecast to be hot and PrideFest attendees even hotter on Saturday, so stay hydrated!

Ride as one on June 29th to celebrate our freedom, diversity and equality! We’ll be cruising through the streets on special Pride bikes to show our support for Norfolk’s LGBTQIA community. Bring your own bike or use one of ours – all are welcome! Where: Meet at the parking lot behind Mermaid Winery (Llewellyn Ave & West 22nd in Ghent). We’ll then make our way through downtown Norfolk and end at the Scope Arena for the Pride Block Party.
7 PM – 12 AM – Seventh Annual Hampton Roads Pride Block Party

“STORYTIME with QUEEN MARY” returns on Saturday, June 30 at the Slover Library with “TAKE PRIDE in STORYTIME.” There’s no better opportunity to take PRIDE in being who you are than to start through the minds of a child. 12 PM – Hampton Roads Pride Boat Parade

On the day of PrideFest, the Nation’s only Pride Boat Parade helps to kick off the festivities along the Town Point Park waterfront. Line up on the dock to watch vessels small and large float by with over-the-top theme decorations.
