Hampton Roads lost another pillar of the LGBTQ community. Robert Edward Ingram, 59, passed away on September 15, 2017 surrounded by loving friends and family. Robert resided in Norfolk for most of his lifetime and enjoyed tinkering with antique cars, transforming any green space to a beautiful garden, and fully enjoying the company of his good friends while sipping iced tea at MJ’s and other various spots. Robert retired from the City of Norfolk after 25 years where he was a landscaper.
Robert touched the lives of many people with his kindness and generosity, and special brand of humor. He was predeceased by his mother Odessa Ingram. Robert will forever be remembered by his loving partner in life, Michael Johnson, cousin Jan White, her husband Mark White and daughters Delaney and Madison, his neighbors, and countless friends who were blessed to know him.
