January’s OutLife757 Magazine Highlights The Area’s LGBTQ Families

The sixth edition of OutLife757 Magazine is all about family–not in the traditional “family values” sense, but the families LGBTQ people create.

Hampton Roads has many such families with fascinating tales to tell.

“When we first started thinking about this issue, it was around the time that several new LGBTQ families with inspiring stories were coming into our lives,” said publisher Eric Hause. “So it just made sense to devote some air time to their stories.”

“For us, its always about the story,” said editor Andrew Roberts. “People are more prone to acceptance and empathy when we share stories about our lives. I think we’ve gone a long way in accomplishing that with this edition.”

This edition includes interviews with LGBTQ families, real weddings, a profile of PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), and a variety of other articles and opinion pieces with a family-oriented theme.

Launched in 2016, OutLife757 Magazine is part of OutWire757’s repertoire of publications, events, and web sites targeted towards the thriving Hampton Roads LGBTQ community.

The magazine and its sister publications, OutGuide757 LGBTQ Resource Directory and the SNAP! LGBTQ Student Magazine, are free and available at over 100 locations in Hampton Roads.
