“Love is Love” Williamsburg is hosting its inaugural ‘coming out’ party this Sunday at Billsburg Brewery in Williamsburg to bring the LGBTQ community of the Middle Peninsula together to socialize, network and discuss how to build a more visible network of support.
Currently comprised of ten Board of Directors, led by Shawn Patrick-McNulty, “Love is Love Williamsburg” plans on becoming a central hub for LGBTQ persons in the Williamsburg area, offering services, resources, social events, support groups including an annual Pride celebration, the first tentatively scheduled to take place in Spring 2020.
The group is currently in the process of compiling lists of local resources, allies and stakeholders in the community. Sunday’s event at Billsburg Brewery (details provided below) is the group’s first public event and a ‘pathway to Pride.’ Interested persons are invited from throughout the Williamsburg/Yorktown areas and Hampton Roads to attend and learn more about the group and its goals.
