Just in time for Easter, John Oliver of Last Week Tonight is expertly trolling the Vice President Pence and his family who recently published a book about their pet rabbit, by creating an alternative tale of the bunny, named Marlon Bundo – who happens to be gay.
As of today, Oliver’s book sales are beating that of the Pence family tale.
A Day In the Life Of Marlon Bundo, written by Jill Twiss and illustrated by EG Keller, is in the top spot on Amazon and it’s Kindle version is currently #2. The Pence family’s book, Marlon Bundo’s Day in the Life of the Vice President, is in third place on Amazon’s children’s book listings.
John Oliver announced the book on his Sunday show during a segment where he reviewed Pence’s anti-LGBT views and policies. Not only is Marlon Bundo gay, it features a stink bug drawn to resemble Pence and culminates in a wedding on the grounds of the Naval Observatory.
Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit proceeds from its sales will benefit the Trevor Project, which supports LGBTQ youth, as well as the AIDS United charity. You may check out and order the book at the link below.
