Break out your chaps, jackets, boots and get ready to hit the road as the international leather community, affinity groups and their admirers will be converging on Washington, D.C. starting tomorrow for Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend (MAL). MAL is a weekend long party, with events starting Thursday with participants numbering in the thousands.
The event headquarters for 2018 is the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, but affiliated and non-affiliated events and parties take place all over the National Capital Region. The heart of the weekend is the historic ‘Leather Cocktails’ social event – the weekend lynchpin gathering from which all other weekend events evolved.
MAL weekend also includes official events organized by weekend hosts, Centaur MC, a bustling leather exhibit/marketplace, Sunday brunch, Mr. MAL Contest, Onyx cocktail party and fetish show, and REVIVAL!, the official Sunday night closing party.
In addition, Weekend hosts provide hotel space for what has evolved into a huge leather-loving community and affinity annual reunion. Weekend participants may purchase a full weekend package that includes access to all events. Tickets to a few select events are sold separately. You must be 21 years of age or older to register for the weekend.
