This past weekend, the Mr. Virginia Bear Crew celebrated a record-breaking year of social events and philanthropy that culminated in the naming of Raymond Musolf-Domstead as Mr. Virginia Bear 2019, Tony Conrad as Mr. Virginia Cub 2019 and Evan Jacob Chevalier as Mr. Virginia Hunter 2019.
Eight contestants vied for the three titles Saturday evening at The Wave in Norfolk. Hundreds came out to the event, emceed by Howard Bunger and Eunita Biskit to support their favorite competitors, included in the crowd were representatives from the Charlotte chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and out of town guests from as far away as Kentucky.
While the Mr. Virginia Bear Crew is a social organization, their purpose is also philanthropy. During 2018, members hosted a number of fundraising events nearly every weekend and set a high standard for the 2019 crew to meet as a donation of $10,000 was made to the LGBT Life Center.
