Start training, stretching and don’t forget to pick out your best pumps and outfit! OutWire757 is proud to be working the Downtown Norfolk Council to kick off Pride month with the First Annual Stiletto Stomp high heel race on Friday, June 1!
In the tradition of pride celebrations around the world, you (and your friends) are invited to get dressed up in drag or another costume, strap on a pair of pumps and get ready to strut your stuff on Granby St. during June’s First Friday celebration and then race/walk/stomp down a short section of Granby St. (between the 100 and 200 block) for prizes and bragging rights!
Prizes will be awarded for the following:
- Best costume
- Best group costume
- First Place Race Finisher
- Last Place Race Finisher
The indomitable Ms. Jennifer Warner will be the hostess for this event. All entry fees will endow a scholarship in the memory of the late Thomas Hitt, a local resident that was killed by a drunk driver earlier this year.
