Amidst the post-Thanksgiving hoopla about ‘Black Friday’, ‘Cyber Monday’ and Prince Harry’s engagement, Red Ribbon Week and World AIDS Day are being observed worldwide and here in Hampton Roads. Throughout the region, a series of events are underway this week to remind people that HIV/AIDS, while treatable and preventable, remains a deadly disease.
