The 8th Annual Transgender Information and Empowerment Summit (TIES) starts tomorrow and will run through October 23rd. Produced by Equality Virginia, the free virtual event features lineup of nearly 20 workshops, multiple community resources and social events, and four powerful keynotes. This years theme is Mental Health and Wellness with racial justice as a guiding principle of the conference..

“We’ve transitioned TIES to an all-digital platform and we’re excited to announce the launch of our official conference app, Whova,” said EV Program Director Thalia Hernandez in a press release. “In addition to seeing the full conference agenda right from your phone, Whova has a ton of ways to engage and network with other conference attendees in order to create a shared sense of community, which we know is the most important part of TIES.”

In addition to workshops and speakers, TIES also provides participants a number pf free resources during the conference:

All TIES sessions will have closed captioning in English.
