Third Annual Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) Set for March 28

The Transgender Assistance Program of Virginia (TAP VA) announced on social media that the third annual Hampton Roads Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) will take place from 1-5 p.m. on March 28 on the campus of Old Dominion Unversity.

The theme for this year’s TDOV event is “Visibility Now!” and will showcase and will celebrate transgender talent with an afternoon of art, exhibits, music, spoken word, workshops, performances, and community.

As per the event post, “the purpose of TDOV is twofold: to provide an open and welcoming space for all trans individuals to share their voices and talents and be honored and celebrated, and to give trans people a platform to speak our truths to our friends, neighbors, and allies about the unique struggles we’ve faced as well as the progress and accomplishments we’ve made.”

At the Hampton Roads’ TDOV, anyone with a creative spirit is invited to participate. Organizers welcome trans and nonbinary artists, performers, and creatives to apply to participate. It is free to apply, although spots are limited. The deadline to apply is March 7th. For more information and to apply, click on either link below.

TDOV is being planned in conjunction with TAP VA with the following community groups and organizations:
