According to a tweet from KFC, the hiring manager in question was fired from their position.

A Richmond area KFC franchise hires, then fires transgender woman once they realize she identifies as female. According to Georgia Carter, 27, her driver’s license identifies her as male. Currently, gender identity is not protected from discrimination in hiring by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
