First Transgender Person Made LGBT White House Liaison

Raffi Freedman-Gurspan was appointed by the White House as primary LGBT liaison, Buzzfeed reports.

Freedman-Gurspan is the first transgender person to serve in the role.  Most recently, Freedman-Gurspan, who is also both Latina and Jewish was the outreach and recruitment director in the presidential personnel office.
