Yesterday, the forecasted rain did not materialize and thousands turned out for the 51st Annual Oceanview St. Patrick’s Day parade in Norfolk. Hampton Roads’ LGBTQ community was well represented in the parade and showed off their pride. In addition to the marching bands, local politicians and Shriners, the LGBTQ community was well-represented. Among the groups that marched and had floats in the parade included New Life Metropolitan Community Church, Out-n-Fit, Hampton Roads Pride and members of the Mid-Atlantic Roller Derby team.
