Interested in joining a social and sports league but don’t want to suffer in coastal Virginia’s summer heat and humidity? Stonewall Sports Norfolk is adding two sports (indoor volleyball and bowling) to its roster and Friday Night Out Bowling Summer league season starts in June.
Following the success of kickball and dodgeball, Stonewall Sports Norfolk is adding indoor volleyball and bowling with both leagues beginning play in June. Stonewall Sports Bowling season will run on Sunday afternoons from 1-3:30 p.m. for seven weeks beginning on July 14 – August 25 and will take place at Lynnhaven Lanes in Virginia Beach.Stonewall Bowling | Norfolk will have up to 30 teams. Each team will need to have a minimum of 3 players playing, with a maximum of 5 players on each team. Registration for Stonewall Sports Norfolk bowling opens on June 1 (at midnight) via www.stonewallnorfolk.org, SSN is also hosting a “Come Try It” & Free Agent Social on June 8 from 1-3 p.m. at AMF Lynnhaven Lanes. Stonewall Sports Indoor Volleyball will play Friday evenings from 6:30-9:30 p.m. starting July 19 – August 30 (seven weeks) at the Tidewater Volleyball Association at 2644 Dean Drive in Virginia Beach. Stonewall Volleyball Norfolk will have up to 32 teams. Each team will need to have a minimum of 7 players playing, with a maximum of 10 players per team. Indoor volleyball registration opens on June 5 at noon with a free agent mixer scheduled for June 14 at 7 p.m. (location TBD). Friday Night Out Bowling, one of Hampton Road’s oldest activity and social groups begins its summer doubles league on June 11 at AMF Norfolk Lanes located at 2441 E Little Creek Rd. in Norfolk. The league plays every Friday night (hence the name) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. from June 11-August 13. There is no need to pre-register online or otherwise, simply show up on June 11 to begin knocking down pins and having fun.
