Margaret Cho, Coco Peru among the eclectic artists to appear during Hampton Arts 35th anniversary season

Hampton Art continues its tradition of bringing bold, exciting programming to Hampton Roads with it’s star-studded 35th anniversary season. Among those scheduled to appear are international know LGBTQ activist and comedienne Margaret Cho and the forever quirky  comedians Coco Peru.

Coco Peru appears in Hampton Art’s newest performing arts space, the Studio Theater,  November 1-2, 2022, and Margaret Cho appears at the Hampton Coliseum March 11, 2023. Both appear as part of The American Theater’s ongoing “Out at the American” programming.

“It’s been a long intermission, and we’re enthusiastic to welcome audiences back for this anniversary season,” said Hampton Arts Artistic Director Richard M. Parison, Jr. “From Grammy-winning musical acts, bold theatrical productions, and family-friendly holiday fun to curated exhibitions from some of the most recognized visual artists in the region, this season is all about storytelling in its many forms.”

Other performing artists scheduled include jazz and swing favorites, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, pop sensation Taylor Dayne, film legend Kathleen Turner in her one-woman cabaret, Grammy Award-winning singer Melissa Manchester, and Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Diane Schur.
