Last night, hundreds turned out to The Wave nightclub to share the love and pay tribute to Anne Marie Pruitt, a long-term friend and ally to many in the Hampton Roads LGBT community.
Attendees were asked to make an in-kind or cash donations to Comfort Cases, the late Ms. Pruitt’s favorite charity that aids foster children. In addition, twenty drag queens throughout the region performed, donating their time and tips to Comfort Cares as did the bartending staff.
During the evening, Ms. Pruitt’s family took the time to thank everyone for attending and for their support.
