Official summer 2017 ended yesterday and we are grateful for everyone that came out for our cruise aboard the American Rover Sunday afternoon. While the tourists may have headed home, local residents find September and October great months to live in Hampton Roads as the weather is warm and beaches empty. Our calendar is full of outdoor events and festivals. In fact, before the end of September, there are three area Pride festivals within easy driving distance of Hampton Roads.
- Charlottesville Pride, September 16th
- Virginia Pride in Richmond, September 23
- Outer Banks Pride, September 22-23
Additionally, OutWire757 is a co-host of the Hampton Roads showing of “A Very Sordid Wedding” at the Naro Theater on September 21. This will be the first of film showings for the LGBTQ community. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the link provided above.
