This weekend, Virginia’s Beach’s ViBe Creative District will come alive with a mega-arts event comprised of an art show, pop-up performances, a farmer’s market, art market, and green market.
ViBe has partnered with the Virginia Arts Festival, Lynnhaven River Now, and the the Old Beach Farmers Market to produce the event.
The Virginia Arts Festival brings Fringe Fest to Virginia Beach this weekend with a two-day evening concert series featuring live music from up-and-coming bluegrass and jazz bands, food trucks, craft beers and more.
Friday night entertainment features the Asheville NC-based Town Mountain Band, described as “100-proof bluegrass with a honky-tonk chaser.” Saturday night features Red Barat, a party band with a reputation for driving fans wild with their blend of jazz, hiphop beats, rock muscle, funky go-go, and scalding hot bhangra.
Also on tap is Lynnhaven River NOW’s nature inspired Art of Saving the River Festival. Live entertainment, artist booths and demonstrations, and kid’s activities are scheduled throughout the weekend. This year, Lynnhaven River NOW is recognizing 15 years of success restoring and protecting Virginia Beach’s waterways through habitat restoration, education, and outreach in the community.
Celebrating 10 years this year, the legendary Old Beach Farmers Markets will offer seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, crafts, art and environmentally friendly products from local vendors participating the Farmers Market, Art Market and Green Market.
