Downtown Richmond’s Browns Island on the James River was the site of Virginia Pridefest, where organizers estimate 40,000 people attended the celebration from 12-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 28.

Attendees braved oppressive heat to show their pride, socialize, learn about area resources and enjoy the talent provided during the day, culminating with headliner Betty Who. You may recognize some familiar faces in the slideshow above as many from the Hampton Roads area made a pilgrimage to Richmond to attend the Commonwealth’s last pride celebration until Spring 2020.
