The 2018 Chelsea West Fest will be held on October 6, 2018 from noon to 6 p.m. in the 600 block of Claremont Ave. in the Chelsea District of Norfolk. The FREE Festival celebrates local offerings with a wide variety of hand-made items from artists and crafters, talented musicians, beers, food vendors and produce.
Applications are now being accepted for Chelsea West Fest artists and crafters in featured mediums such as pottery, quilting, soap making, wood carving, blacksmithing, etc. Application are available at www.hope-house.org, and are due Monday, August 27. Proceeds from Chelsea West Fest support Hope House Foundation. Since 1964, Hope House has worked on the frontlines of the battle for independence, community inclusion and true citizenship for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The organization provides individualized support for adults in their own homes or apartments. Currently, it serves more than 120 people in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach. For more information, visit hope-house.org.
