Dozens of persons from throughout the Middle Peninsula and Hampton Roads descended on Billsburg Brewery located on the water for the “Love is Love Coming Out Party”, an event to bring LGBTQ persons and allies together and to formally launch a Pride event and other resources for those living in the Williamsburg area.

Attendees enjoyed food, drink, live music and were able to socialize at the waterfront venue. Speakers included Zakia K. McKensey, Founder of the Nationz Foundation of Richmond, Gavin Grimm, transgender activist and former resident of Gloucester and local organizers of the event.
Love is Love Williamsburg is planning on producing a Pride event in Spring 2020 in downtown Williamsburg and will host a series of support groups and events for those living in the Williamsburg/Middle Peninsula area.
