A bit of lightning and a passing shower could not dampen the spirits of those attending the Ghent Business Association’s first annual Ghent Pride event held last night at the Palace Station & Shops located on 21st Street in Norfolk.
Local political leaders were joined by Rep. Bobby Scott, Rep. Elaine Luria and Virginia’s First Lady, Pam Northam at the event that featured music, food, drinks, a silent auction and a ‘locks of love’ fence. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Hampton Roads Pride and the LGBT Life Center.
