Hampton Roads Business Outreach Announces Three New Board Members

Following an eventful year that included the glittering tenth anniversary gala and the resignation of its President and several board members, Hampton Roads Business Outreach (HRBOR), Virginia’s first LGBT Chamber of Commerce, enters its 11th year with the announcement three new board members.

The new board members will each bring their own unique talents and perspectives to the organization and include the following:

Patrick Evans-Hylton
Patrick is renowned as one of Virginia’s most prominent foodies and joins the HRBOR Board of Directors with a focus on marketing and events. Patrick is a Johnson & Wales-trained chef and an award-winning food journalist, covering tasty trends since 1995 in print, broadcast and electronic media. He regularly appears on Coast Live, has a weekly radio show on WNIS AM 790 and is publisher of VirginiaEatsAndDrinks.com

Eric Holland
Eric has been involved with HRBOR for over five years and joins the HRBOR Board of Directors seeking to enhance member benefits and operations. Eric is Operations Manager for Capes Shipping in Norfolk. Eric attended Maine Maritime Academy and Old Dominion University, concentrating his studies in Maritime Business.

Rob Blizard
Rob Blizard most recently served as the Executive Director of the Norfolk SPCA since November 2012. He has also served in fundraising director positions at the Washington (DC) Animal Rescue League and the Humane Society of the United States, based in the nation’s capital. He holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a BA from the University of Virginia in English literature. He writes a regular column for the Pilot’s Compass newspaper entitled Animal Matters and has published several articles about companion animals in Hampton Roads media.
