Worlds AIDS Day Time to Remember Those Lost, Enhance Awareness and Celebrate Progress

Today is the 29th World AIDS Day, a day that gives the community opportunities to raise awareness about the critical issues surrounding the HIV/AIDS crisis in Hampton Roads and around the world. Today, it is important to remember those lost to the disease and to recognize that while there is no cure, knowing your status and getting into treatment is vital as Mr. Cuffee’s story in the video demonstrates.

This weekend area agencies are coming together to commemorate the World AIDS Day to raise awareness and end the negative stigma surrounding the disease.  Below is a list of area World AIDS Day activities happening in Hampton Roads.  Wear a red ribbon and join your friends and neighbors this weekend!
