Over 30 humans and one dog named Gertie braved a damp Saturday morning and ran scantily clad in holiday attire on Norfolk’s Granby Street in the Second Annual Santa Speedo Run organized by Out-n-Fit.
In addition to giving participants an opportunity to show off their assets, get some exercise and socialize, the Speedo Run has become another opportunity for the community to give back during the holidays. Participants in the run raised $1,300 for the Virginia-Pilot’s Joy Fund, a non-profit organization that raises funds to purchase new toys for local children.
